Style Flat Woven
Flat-woven carpets are among the oldest carpets have been ever made by human. These Woven pieces, like kilim, djadjim and soumak, have no pile. In this technique, the weaver draws only one weft through the warps, so the technique is known as "One-Weft" or "Flat-Weaving". The flat-woven carpets are made mostly with wool, by the Asian and African rural people or nomads and some of the Native American tribes. Weaving geometric patterns is the only possible way in this simple technique. Playing the main role, the colors are so divers. Both in modern and traditional decorations, the flat-woven carpets make the atmosphere alive and feature a sense of nature.
